Ritual
Wisdom, Trained Only
You know how to call upon your patron deity’s power and how to channel it into the mundane world, thus creating a supernatural manifestation (a miracle) of the deity’s might. Only clerics, priests, druids, holy warriors and other holy folk know how to invoke the might of deities.
Check: The base difficulty level for invoking miracles is Average (10). Each spell level adds to the total difficulty level. Use the following table:
Spell Level | DC |
0 | 10 |
1 | 11 |
2 | 13 |
3 | 15 |
4 | 17 |
5 | 19 |
6 | 21 |
7 | 23 |
8 | 25 |
9 | 27 |
If the caster wishes to increase the effective Caster Level of the spell the DC rating is increased by 2 per extra Caster Level.
Try again: No. Only one attempt is allowed per round.
Action: Some miracles only take one action to invoke, others takes hours. See the miracle description for further details.
Special: Miracles cost piety points when they are invoked. Piety Points are gained by doing acts that pleases the deity, such as helping the poor, drive away evil beasts, save a village from being plundered by bandits, etc. Each Spell Level costs 3 piety points. Each extra Caster Level costs 2 piety points.
